This is some building from the penitentiary that I thought looked interesting. Behind us is a yellow-bellied
marmot. I tried to take its picture, but it crawled in a hole. Too bad because a lot of people read this blog and he would have been famous.

We went to the botanical gardens with Nathan's preschool. It is right by the old penitentiary and the building is so cool. They have this cat walk all around the outside and then guard towers in every corner. This one says, "Warning...guard dogs in use". We would like to tour the place later this year.

Here is Nathan following directions and not putting his feet on the rocks. They are looking at toads in the pond. He was having a ball.

I am trying to get all professional with this wisteria shot. We were sitting under these huge wisteria plants during the opening lecture by the tour guides. It was a gorgeous day, high 80's and most of the time we were walking under trees and in the shade. We will for sure have to go back as a family. My favorite part was Nathan wanted to hold my hand as we walked around the gardens. And he was line leader for the day, so we looked important...my dang handsome son and his huge mom. It was supposed to cost me $2 to go, but the teacher said they could let one parent in for free...3 came and I was the free one. Woo Hoo! That is one huge soda for me on the way home!
