Yesterday Nathan and I were going out to count our watermelons. He was trying to go out ahead of me and I was finishing something up. Here's how the conversation went down:
Nate: I'm going out Mommy.
Me: Wait, Nate.
Nate: No, I can go out and start counting before you get there.
Me: I know you can, you're a very good counter. But, would you wait for me? I like to do things with you.
Nate: Yeah, 'cause I'm the awesomest son.
Yes. Yes, you are.
And our count was 12.
